Methylprednisolone Acetate-Meningitis Outbreak

The CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention) has reported an outbreak of fungal meningitis tied to steroids used for epidural injections (medication injected into the spine).  More specifically, the steroids in question were all compounded by a pharmacy in Massachusetts.  We want to assure you that none of the steroids used in our facility were purchased from the compounding pharmacy in question.  The steroids for epidurals at Center for Minimally Invasive Surgery have always been purchased from McKesson and manufactured by Pfizer.
