Dr. Troy received his undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois at Champaign Urbana and his degree in medicine from Rush Medical College. He finished his residency in orthopaedic surgery from the University of Illinois at Chicago where he also functioned as a clinical instructor for the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr. Troy completed his fellowship training at the Hughston Sports Medicine Hospital in Columbus, Georgia where he specialized in sports medicine injuries. Dr. Troy went to pursue further fellowship training in spinal surgery at the renowned Leatherman Spine Fellowship in Louisville, Kentucky. He currently accepts patients for orthopaedic, joint reconstruction, sports medicine and spinal surgery.
